Noraly was born in 1988 on 2nd May in a city named Rotterdam in The Netherland. She belonged to a middle-class family. Her father used to run a hardware shop which was located near their home. Nora’s mother was a homemaker.

Noraly had spent her school life in Calvijn College situated in Rotterdam. After she has done her schooling, she decided to take up a Bachelor of Science in Biogeology. To do so, she joined Utrecht University. Then she decided to continue to wither he her Master (MSc) in System Earth Modelling. She graduated from the same university with honors in the year 2010.
After she had done her master’s, she continued studying for a doctorate (PhD) from the same Utrecht University. She traveled to Australia for collecting some rocks as a part of her Ph.D. study. When she returned to the Netherlands, she decided to pause her studies for three months and travel. She traveled across many countries like Australia, India, and New Zealand. After she had stayed for a month in India, she decided that she would drop out of her Ph.D. so that she can travel around the world.

Noraly had been working in a Gold Mining Company in Australia for almost a year. She considered the one year as the longest time she had gone through in her entire life. While she worked in this company, she gathered and saved some money and decided to do a solo trip so that she could the world. After that, she packed her bags and returned to the Netherlands.
She got her motorbike license in the year 2015. It is this time when she started her journey. She purchased a second-hand Ducati Monster 797. But after using the bike for some time, she had to sell her bike as she was determined in her passion for solo trips across the world. Although she dreamt of doing so on her bike, she did not have that much money.
When Nora visited India, she took a Royal Enfield bike for rent and explored for 3000 kilometers. After that, she decided to buy her own brand new Royal Enfield Himalayan in India. She had named her bike “Basanti” – a character in an Indian film named Sholay. After that, she started a very long ride from India to Malaysia. After completing this ride she returned to the Netherlands and on her way, she crossed the middle east and Iran, Russia, The Caucasus, and Turkey.

By the year 2018, once she had become a full-time traveler, she started her youtube channel, Itchy Boots. She purchased a GoPro camera and started recording the rides and then she uploads them on her channel as vlogs.
